Guide Right

Category:

The Guide Right Program is one of the most enduring legacies of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a cornerstone of the Maplewood-Oranges Alumni Chapter’s community service efforts. Established nationally in 1922, Guide Right’s purpose is to provide educational, occupational, and social direction for youth as they prepare for adulthood.

Through MOAC’s local Guide Right initiatives, our members serve as mentors, role models, and advocates—helping young men develop leadership skills, academic discipline, and a strong sense of purpose.

Our Mission in Action

  • Mentorship: Brothers of MOAC provide one-on-one and group mentoring to guide students through academic challenges, college preparation, and career goals.
  • Kappa League: Our flagship youth program under the Guide Right umbrella, focused on leadership development, community service, and cultural awareness.
  • College & Career Readiness: We host workshops, panel discussions, and field trips to expose students to higher education and professional opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: From volunteering at local schools to coordinating scholarship drives, MOAC ensures that every young man we mentor understands the power of achievement and brotherhood.

For over a decade, the Maplewood-Oranges Alumni Chapter has proudly carried the torch of Guide Right—empowering young men to lead, serve, and achieve at the highest levels.
